About Us
OceanVideoLab lets you explore and annotate any publicly accessible underwater video content posted on YouTube. Just register your YouTube video with OceanVideoLab and start exploring! We recommend that a start time (UTC) be supplied for each video registered, and strongly encourage the contribution of navigational data so observations can be geo-referenced. User login is required to annotate videos, but anyone can freely explore the deep with OceanVideoLab.

Future plans include the deployment of a search interface that will search across all annotations, an API that will enable querying of our database, and the integration of openly accessible related data from various repositories. Additional data that can be integrated include vehicle sensor data (e.g. temperature, salinity), and high-resolution bathymetry data. The more data provided, the richer the OceanVideoLab experience.
